Tamara Zawitkowski

COMMITTEE

Tamara was born and raised in Adelaide. Yes a chic from the big smoke:)
She has lived in Melbourne, Sydney and had a very brief stint in Darwin. (Too hot) Then down to Mount Gambier in South Australia’s Limestone Coast. (Just right)

Tamara has worked in hospitality, holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, certificates in Business Administration and Tourism-Visitor Services , Events and Marketing

As an Educator, Tamara has cared for Children fleeing domestic violence, newly arrived from war torn countries and non English speaking backgrounds and the more relaxed and alternative Education environment.

Tamara worked with the amazing Sandy Clark and her interest in amazing women was sparked. At the Mount Gambier Gathering Guest speaker- Dame Quentin Bryce… another amazing woman and oh my goodness.. her shoes 🙂

This Gathering was an addiction which has lead to Tamara attending over 10 across our wonderful State, learning more about amazing women, satisfying Tamara’s love of travelling and her need to learn more skills to make herself a better person and of course to catch up with all the amazing women who attend these Gatherings.

Tamara’s life has been a rocky one but these Gatherings have been a light at the end of a long and often dark tunnel.

Tamara considers herself “semi-retired” . She helps a good friend prepare delicious treats for Markets and catering (Picnic in the Woods), she has taken her skills learnt at various Gatherings and makes crafts (Tamz_craftz). Tamara loves to garden (currently 35 roses …and growing) and read (especially written by Australian female authors- Fleur MacDonald, Rachel Johns, Tricia Stringer, Judy Nunn, Di Morrisey, Etc etc etc)

The best therapy of all is her mini-dachshund puppy -the love of her life (sorry to my partner of over 15 years David)

Tamara decided to join the Committee to continue the joy and opportunities to provide other women with light, laughter and friendship in their lives.
