Kenny Blake was a famous Strathalbyn motor bike racer, known as racing’s “gentleman racer”.
In 2018 the first Kenny Blake Festival of Motorcycling was held. Marylou Nees has been a lover of all things two wheeled for most of her life. She was the instigator and convener of the Festival, taking it from concept to a very successful event.
The spectacular statue has become a very popular tourist attraction in Strath with both motorcycling enthusiasts and lovers of creative works.
