Dogs are trained to assist those with a hearing loss by alerting them to sounds such as telephone, doorbell and fire alarm. ALHD is a project of Lions Clubs Australia. Since 1982 ALHD has been helping those who are deaf or hard of hearing by providing trained dogs to give back independence, security, confidence and safety.
