Robe Cemetery Walk-The Perilous Seas

Join the Robe History Group for a night-time tour of the historic Robe Cemetery, which reflects the district’s diverse history. You will find graves of our early pastoralists and immigrants, who arrived from all over the world, and shipwreck victims.

The cemetery is non-denominational, not following the traditional English model. The earliest marked grave is that of William Vansittart, a well-known pastoralist and horse breeder, who was buried in 1854.

This snapshot tour will highlight several graves linking back to Guichen Bay’s shipping past.

Participants need:

Please bring flat shoes, warm clothes and a good torch.
